It refers to a civil action (or tort) that allows a spouse to sue a third person who <strong>intentionally interferes with their marital relationship<\/strong>, causing the loss of love, affection, and companionship.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f8f573d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f8f573d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tSuch claims, also called \u201cheart-balm actions,\u201d have historically been recognized in the United States.
